Fall Scholastic Book Fair

Join us for County Line PTA’s Fall Scholastic Book Fair in the County Line Library!

Tuesday, October 25 — 9 a.m.–3:30 p.m.
Wednesday, October 26 — 9 a.m.–3:30 p.m. AND 4–8 p.m. (Family Night)
Thursday, October 27 — 9 a.m.–3:30 p.m.

Rather than using this as a fundraiser, most items are instead discounted up to 20% off the list price in an effort to get more books into the hands of our students.

You’re welcome to shop with your child during designated classroom shopping times, or shop together as a family at Wednesday night’s Family Night. Don’t forget to stop by the Classroom Wish List display while visiting. Welcome to the 2016-17 school year

bus

Dear County Line Families,

On behalf of the County Line PTA, welcome to the 2016–2017 school year! We hope you’re as excited about the upcoming year as we are. If you’re familiar with the PTA, you may already have an idea what we do, but if you aren’t, we’d like to take a moment to share a little about the County Line PTA and encourage you to get involved in this great organization.

Who are we?
The PTA is a group of parents, educators, administrators, and community leaders working together for the benefit of our children. As a member of the PTA, you have a voice to advocate for your child, as well as every child in our school.

What do we do?
Your yearly dues of $12.00 (single) or $20.00 (double) not only cover the state and national PTA charter but also helps fund many County Line Elementary enrichment opportunities, such as:

For Students — Reflections Program, reduced-price Spirit Wear, Spelling Bee, Scholastic Book Fair, Author Visits, Transportation to First Stage Theater for each grade level, Fall/Spring Marathon, High Interest Day, Fifth Grade Night, and school improvements such as new playground equipment

For Families — School Directory, New Family Welcome Picnic, Fall Fest, SnowBall, Movie Night, Winter Dance, and Spring Carnival

For County Line Educators — Teacher Grants for classroom enrichment tools for everything from iPads and Chromebooks to Ukuleles, Teacher Conference Dinners, Teacher Appreciation Week, and volunteer support in the Library, Computer Lab, Lunchroom and Health Room

We need your help!
Without the continued support from County Line families and educators we cannot offer the great events, activities, and classroom support County Line students have enjoyed in the past. The only commitment we ask is that you commit to joining us at one of our monthly meetings or sign up to volunteer for one of the PTA events so you can see for yourself what the County Line PTA is all about and learn more about how you can get involved.

What kind of commitment is required?
PTA involvement is voluntary, and there are no requirements or restrictions on how you choose to participate. You decide how active you would like to be—attend monthly meetings, chair a committee, volunteer your time and skills—it’s your choice.

How do we do it all?
The County Line PTA is able to provide these activities and services at no or low cost to County Line students, families, and educators as a result of our strong volunteer network and a variety of fundraising efforts (Chip Shoppe, bi-annual Auction, SCRIP and Box Tops for Education, PTA Booster Nights at local eateries).

Where can you find more information?
Come to a meeting! PTA meetings are held in the County Line Library the first Tuesday of each month at 6:30 pm and child care is available. Just show up—advanced notice is not required. A complete schedule of meetings can be found in your summer packet, on the in-school PTA bulletin board by the gym, and online at either the County Line PTA Facebook page or via this website. When returning your membership envelope, please make sure to include your email address to ensure you receive PTA communications, notices, and updates.

Please join the PTA!
We cannot achieve our goal of 100% membership without your help. Whether you are a first-timer or a returning member, we look forward to getting to know you better. Your participation is what makes the County Line PTA and its programs a success and we can’t do it without your help.

Dedicated to Excellence in Education,

Your County Line PTA 2016/2017 Board
Stacey Knight & Sheila Nally, Co-Presidents
Nicole Lustig, Vice President
Kara Roeming, Secretary
Danielle Shira, Treasurer
