County Line Marathon

Sponsored by the County Line PTA, the County Line Marathon is an incentive program that promotes a healthy lifestyle and the perseverance of striving toward a long-term goal. We are encouraging all students (kindergarten through 5th grade) to run or walk laps on the County Line field during their lunch recess. The marathon is run over 4 total weeks, once in the fall and once in the spring.

How it Works

Students who complete the half marathon (39 laps) and those who complete the full marathon (78 laps) will receive a prize. Teachers and family members are welcome to join the fun! Come walk/run beside your child to show your support, or encourage them by volunteering to record laps.

How to Dress

Please have your child dress appropriately during the dates of the marathon. We recommend layers for the upper body and sneakers for footwear. Please refrain from sending participating children to school wearing open-toed shoes and flip flops during the marathon for safety reasons. In the event of inclement weather, the marathon will be held on the blacktop or indoors.
